FLUTEN Project overview FLUTEN links the historical perception of flooding as a punishment with the modern responsibility of humankind in the climate crisis. It raises questions about guilt, consequences, and the potential for building a more resilient society through urban and artistic measures. The project is understood as an interdisciplinary platform that brings together art, science, and public participation. The simultaneity of natural disasters, media overload, and societal crises is reflected upon to design possible future scenarios for flood management. We invites artists, collectives, and researchers, to contribute to three exhibitions that explore water as a force of transformation, crisis, and renewal. We welcome finished pieces and works in production across disciplines, including but not limited to installation, performance, sound, photography, video, participatory projects, educational settings, ice-skating and text-based works. The exhibition of FLUTEN is separated into three acts: BEFORE, DURING and AFTER THE FLOOD and is accompanied by workshops, lectures, assemblies and other events. Who Can Apply? Artists, researchers, and collectives from all backgrounds are invited. The FLUTEN project particularly encourages contributions from individuals working at the intersection of art, ecology, activism, and experimental practice. What is offered?
